Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued notification for conducting Geologists Examination 2013 for recruitment of the 147 vacancies under two categories.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates should possess Master's Degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration for Category I Posts Masters Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a university, Master's Degree in Hydrogeology from a recognized university for Category II Posts.
Application Fee:
Candidates have to pay the fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card. SC/ST/Female/PH candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Age Limit:
Candidates age limit should be between 21 years and 32 years for Category I Posts and 21-35 years for Jr Hydrogeologists Post and 21-30 years for Assistant Hydrogeologists posts.
