The growth of the Ordnance Factories leading to its present setup has been continuous but in spurts. There were 18 ordnance factories before India became independent in 1947. 21 factories have been established after independence - mostly, in wake of defence preparedness imperatives caused by the three major wars fought by the Indian Armed forces. 40th Factory is under establishment at Nalanda, Bihar.

Educational Qualification:
03 Years full time Diploma in relevant trade or BSc in General Category. or Graduate Degree in Engg./ Technical/Humanities Science/Commerce/Law etc. from a recognized University.
Application Fees:
All candidates have to pay non-refundable application fee of Rs.100/-. Application Fees should be paid in the form of Demand draft favoring to the Sr. Principal Director, National Academy of Defence Production, Ambajhari.
Pay Scale:
Selected candidates would be eligible to get the pay scale of around Rs.9300-34800/- Plus Grad Pay Rs.4200/-.
Age Limit:
Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the age 27 years.
Note:
The relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates in Rajasthan shall be applicable as per state government rules.
